A few years ago, we set out to answer a single, fundamental question: what would it look like if families could truly own the source of their life?
Not just buy from it, but own it.
We began with fifteen acres in Sussex and a small community who believed a simple truth: that land should be held in trust, for food, for nature, and for the generations who follow us. Together we proved it. We restored soil, fed households, and built something real.
The pilot was never the destination. It was always the beginning.
Peppers is the next step, and it is already whole: a hundred-acre Sussex estate, the land, the barns, the farmhouse and the lake all here and waiting, ready to feed a hundred households for generations. We are not raising a farm from nothing. We are opening one, to exactly one hundred founding families.

Over the following years, the farm is designed and established, and every founder is warmly invited to be part of it, as much or as little as they like. Come to the gatherings on the land, share the ideas that shape the market garden, the orchards and the gathering spaces, and lend a hand in the making when you wish. There is no obligation to build or to labour. Your place is yours whether you help shape every season or simply follow the journey and visit when you can.

Founding Peppers isn't joining a single farm, it's founding the flagship of a whole region. Peppers has the land, the barns and the infrastructure to anchor and supply a network of smaller community farms around it. It can grow onto the land immediately surrounding it, and in time we'll bring up to twenty little farms into community ownership across Sussex, each held by the people who eat from it. Yes. Your stake is recorded in your name, held in trust, and inheritable, you can pass it to whomever you choose. You can also transfer it: list your space during our annual transfer window, and My Little Farm has first option to buy it back. If we don't take it, you can nominate a replacement, or we'll advertise the space on your behalf.

And if you need to step away for good, your space goes into the transfer window, and once a new founder takes it, the contributions you've made are returned to you.
