Fifteen acres near Lewes Farming since 2021 A limited number of places

more than a food box

A place your week bends around.

Picture a week, once the farm near you is real.

The farm isn't a day out you make room for. It's a place your week quietly starts to run through, until you can't remember how the week worked before it.

The co-working space in the members' cabin

the working week

On a weekday you drop the children at farm school, where they spend the morning sowing, foraging, and learning to hold a chick without fear. You don't drive home. You take a desk in the members' cabin, wifi and a kettle and a window full of garden, and work the morning from somewhere that breathes.

A box of the week's harvest from the farm

midweek

Your harvest arrives at the door: vegetables lifted that morning, eggs still warm, bread from the oven. No shop run, no supermarket aisle. And the days you do come down to the farm, an hour in the sauna sets the week down. The farm gives you your food, and your evening back.

The community gathered at the long table

You came for the food. You stay for the life.

Camping on the farm at dusk

the weekend

Some weekends you don't leave at all. You pitch up in a bell tent on the edge of the meadow, the children loose until dark, a fire, a flask, and a sky doing what it does when no streetlight is arguing with it. You wake on the farm, and the weekend feels twice as long.

A seasonal gathering at the farm

the turning year

And eight times a year the whole community gathers, for the old festivals our grandparents knew. Fires and bread, seed-saving and song, the turning of the seasons marked together. The afternoons that give something back to you that modern life quietly took away.

None of it run by you. All of it woven through your week. The smallholder life, a few minutes from home, without the early mornings.

This is what your weekly shop builds: not just a delivery, but a place your life runs through.

what it includes, what it costs

£195 a month. And £150 of it is simply your food.

Most of us already spend more than £50 a week on food. As a Steward, that spend comes back to you each month as Farm Credit, to use across the farm on the food you actually want. So the membership itself is really just £45 a month.

£195 a month

£150 back to you, as Farm Credit toward the harvest, the shop and the café.

£45 to the farm, your growing land holding, the team, and your run of the place.

everything a Steward holds

  • A weekly harvest, grown for you and delivered.
  • £150 a month in Farm Credit to spend across the farm.
  • A growing stake in the land, recorded in your name.
  • Seven-day run of the farm: the gardens, the cabin, the sauna.
  • Farm school for the children, and the play of the place.
  • The full community life: the eight festivals, the calls, the gatherings.

The £150 is money you'd spend anyway. So the real cost of all of it is about £10 a week.
